Adil K. Engineer
— My Story
My name is Adil Khan, and I hail from a small village in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. I began my early education at a local madrasa, later earning a B.Sc. (IT) from PTU and an Advanced Diploma in Computer Hardware & Networking (ADHNT).
I started my career as a lecturer at Sir Syed School of Technology (ITI). Alongside teaching, I was also involved in website development and computer assembling, which helped me improve my financial condition. Because of my technical and academic background, people began addressing me as “Engineer”—saving my contact as Adil Khan Engineer—and over time, that became my identity.
This identity gained further strength when I served as the social media in-charge for the Samajwadi Party, Maharashtra, where my journey into active politics began. Politics was not new to me—my father and uncle were both actively involved in political life—so my childhood was shaped by a politically aware environment. However, my real political maturity came when I became part of the Samajwadi Party in Maharashtra.
The political landscape of Maharashtra has always been fertile for ideas, debates, and discussions. People from all corners of India have settled here in search of livelihood, bringing with them their cultures, thoughts, and political philosophies. As a result, Maharashtra stands as one of the few states where open dialogue and intellectual debates across all political ideologies thrive vibrantly.
During my tenure with the Samajwadi Party in Maharashtra, I had the privilege of engaging with intellectuals and leaders representing diverse political ideologies. These interactions broadened my political perspective. Coming from North India, I was introduced to the ground realities of South Indian politics through my party colleagues—an experience that proved to be both enriching and enlightening, expanding my understanding of Indian politics beyond regional boundaries.
Thereafter, I began studying political ideologies deeply—both within India and globally. Since my expertise was in information technology, I recognized how social media has become the new political battlefield of the modern era. The social and political context of Maharashtra gave me practical exposure and maturity, adding depth and clarity to my political understanding.
I have been differently abled since childhood and use a wheelchair, but my wheelchair does not define my limits—it defines my wings. It carries me across cities, cultures, and conversations.
Today, I identify myself as an educator, traveller, engineer, writer, social activist, election analyst, socialist by philosophy, and former lecturer at Sir Syed School of Technology. I firmly believe that the most valuable lessons in life are learned outside one’s comfort zone.
As an engineer, I solve problems (you can explore my work on my company website). As a writer, my blog analyzes political events and contemporary developments—helping readers uncover the stories behind major incidents, their implications, and their potential impact on the future. I also share stories of historical heroes and events so that future generations studying today’s era may find factual, balanced, and thoughtful perspectives through my writings.
As a traveller, I seek new horizons; as a political analyst, I decode complex policies, examine their social impacts, and present a balanced view to encourage informed citizen participation.
Through my blogs, vlogs, commentaries, and public lectures, I strive to raise awareness, inspire inclusion, and challenge stereotypes as a social activist. Whether teaching the next generation, exploring unseen places, engaging in thought-provoking discussions, or raising my voice for social change — I choose to live with purpose, passion, and responsibility.
